This past weekend Donner Swim Club hosted its annual Jaime Miller Invite at the Donner Aquatics Center in Columbus Indiana. 25 teams and 642 swimmers participated in the weekend long event. Donner had 78 swimmers participate for a total of 469 swims, 397 of them being lifetime best times. Donner finished third overall behind Flashes Aquatics and Valparaiso. Below are the highlights from the meet.

Emmerson Barrett had 6 out of 6 lifetime best times, and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke and 100 Backstroke.

Carolina Bologna participated in her first ever swim meet and qualified in the 50 Freestyle for Indiana Divisionals

Cooper Bringman had 7 of 8 lifetime best times, and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 400 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 50 Butterfly, 100 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, and 200 Freestyle. He is very close to state cuts in 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly, 100 Butterfly, and 50 Breaststroke.

Ella Bringman had 8 of 8 lifetime best times this past weekend and qualified for Indiana Open Water State meet. She also qualified for the Indiana Divisionals in the 400 Freestyle, 400 IM, 50 Butterfly, 100 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 IM and 50 Backstroke. She is near to qualifying for state in 50 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly and 50 Backstroke.

Danalyn Castelan qualified for Indiana Divisional meet in the 200 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle, and 100 Freestyle with lifetime best times.

Ellie Fitzsimmons had 4 out of 4 lifetime best times, and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke and 200 Freestyle.

Kennedy Greer-Bos had 4 lifetime best times and got an individual Indiana Divisional cut in the 100 Butterfly.

Kylie Hartwell had 5 of 6 lifetime best times and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 100 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle.

Neil Johnson had 7 of 7 lifetime best times throughout the weekend, and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 50 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle, and 100 Freestyle.

Eli McIntier had 7 of 7 lifetime best times throughout the weekend. He also qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 50 Freestyle.

EMily McIntier had 4 of 4 lifetime best times over the weekend and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 400 IM and 50 Freestyle.

Mridula Muthukumaran had 6 out of 6 lifetime best times and qualified for Indiana Open Water State meet, and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the following events; 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 100 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle. She is near Indiana Senior State cuts in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly in long course meters.

Gunner Napier had 5 out of 6 lifetime best times and got his first Indiana Divisional cut in the 50 backstroke.

Antoni Pajak had 7 out of 7 lifetime best times and got his first individual Indiana Divisional cuts in the 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, and 200 IM. He is also close to an Age Group state cut in the 50 Freestyle.

Sanchita Ponnathpur had 8 out of 8 lifetime best times this weekend, with Indiana Divisional cuts in the 1500 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Breaststroke, and 50 Freestyle. 

Ritvik Prithiviraj had 7 out of 7 lifetime best times throughout the weekend. He also qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 400 IM, 100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 200 IM, 50 Breaststroke, 200 Breaststroke, and 50 Freestyle.

Anna Reed had 7 of 7 lifetime best times and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 100 Breaststroke.

Charlie Reed had lifetime best times in all 7 of her events and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 100 Backstroke and 50 Backstroke.

Courtland Reed also had lifetime best times in all 7 of her events. She also qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 800 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, and 50 Freestyle.

Caua Roberto Garros went lifetime best times in all 7 events and achieved an Indiana Divisional cut in the 50 Freestyle.

Shoma Roberts achieved lifetime best times in all 7 of his events. He also achieved Indiana Divisional in the 400 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle.

Luiza Salomao went lifetime best times in 6 of her 7 events, qualified for the Indiana Open Water State meet, and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the following events: 400 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 50 Freestyle, 200 IM, 50 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle. She is also near an Age Group State cut in the 50 Freestyle and 50 Backstroke.

Aarav Sriram went lifetime best times in 7 of his 7 events and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 200 IM, and 50 Freestyle. He is also near an Age Group state cut in the 50 Freestyle.

Shabarirajan Thangaraj went lifetime best times in 4 of his events and qualified for Indiana Divisionals in the 400 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly, and 50 Freestyle.

Donner will compete next in the Purdue Boilermaker Bash, June 20-22.

Donner Swim Club is seeking part time, hourly, help with our 9-10 and 11-14 groups.  As our team has continued to grow and improve we are in need of extra help.  Both groups practice M-F and Saturdays.  Our Developmental Group (9-10) practices 5:30-6:30pm M-F, and 9-10am on Saturday.  Our Age Group (11-14) currently practices M-F 6:30-8:00pm, and 9-10:30am.  Part time coaches are only needed at swim meets when necessary and will be arranged ahead of time.  Previous experience is preferred, however a passion and love of working with kids is a requirement.  Donner will reimburse coaches for all required certifications; all coaches must be able to meet USA swimming’s coaching certification requirements.  Donner also pays for all coaches' education programs with ASCA and ISCA.  Pay will be between $15 and $20 per hour based upon experience.  If interested please send resume and interest letter to donnercoachmike@gmail.com .
