Age Group (11-14 yr Olds)
The emphasis of the Age group level is on mastering the skills necessary to be a competitive swimmer: Continued technique development, training etiquette, advanced stroke mechanics, training and race strategies, goal setting, understanding basic nutrition, mental preparation, arriving and being prepared for practices and meets on time, and the ability to handle increasing training workloads.
Swimmers will participate in a dryland program to help develop total body strength, stability and mobility in the shoulders and legs, and overall body control and coordination.
Practices will be offered six days per week, 1.5 hours per practice with two 30-minute drylands .
