Senior Group (13 & Up)
The emphasis of the Senior group will be on competing in all four competitive strokes, starts, turns, underwater kicking, increasing aerobic & anaerobic capacity through increased kicking, and swimming volume and intensity. Swimmers will develop individual goals and contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team, develop individual race strategies, learn and practice leadership skills, learn proper nutrition for high performance, and improve mental preparation. The athletes will continue to develop team culture into their everyday practice and outside life.
Practices will be offered six days per week, two hours will be spent in the pool, with additional dryland time designated depending on the season.
The High School Conditioning Group is a non-competitive group within DSC. The purpose of this group is to allow the athletes to still train during the off-season of High School Swimming. This group will be invited to three of the Senior Group practices per week.
